Summary

We, TLT are seeking a Contract Learning and Development Manager to join TLT in Bristol. This role will be on an initial 3-month contract and will be paid a day rate via an Umbrella Company. Hybrid office attendance in Bristol, will be required.

Due to the urgency of the role, we are looking to speak to those individuals who are immediately available or have a notice period of 2 weeks or less.

Your role

The Training Manager will be responsible for overseeing the design, coordination, and delivery of training programmes within the SLS operations. This includes both technical training on mortgage litigation (including customer contact) and conveyancing processes, as well as soft skills training. The Training Manager will be supported by a Trainer to ensure that all training initiatives are aligned with organisational goals and regulatory requirements. 

Responsibilities

Leadership and Management: 

  • Lead and manage a training function, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback. 
  • Develop and implement training strategies that align with the organisation's objectives and regulatory requirements. 
  • Ensure that training programmes are delivered effectively and meet the needs of the business. 

Training Programme Development: 

  • Oversee the design and development of training programmes on mortgage litigation, conveyancing processes, and soft skills. 
  • Ensure training materials are current, comprehensive, and engaging. 
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate and relevant. 

Coordination and Delivery: 

  • Schedule and coordinate training sessions, ensuring all relevant team members are informed and able to attend. 
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes, updating when required. 
  • Ensure that training records are maintained accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements. 

Continuous Improvement: 

  • Identify training needs through regular assessments and feedback from team members and stakeholders. 
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and effectiveness of training programmes. 
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in training and development. 

Stakeholder Engagement: 

  • Work closely with department heads and other stakeholders to understand training needs and priorities. 
  • Communicate training plans and progress to senior management and other relevant parties. 
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the organisation.

Your skills and experience

Leadership and Management: 

  • Proven experience in leading and managing a training function or similar roles. 
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members. 

Training Expertise: 

  • Extensive experience in designing and delivering training programmes, particularly in mortgage litigation and conveyancing. 
  • Strong understanding of soft skills training, including communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and customer service. 

Organisational Skills: 

  • Excellent organisational and project management skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple training programmes and initiatives simultaneously. 

Communication and Interpersonal Skills: 

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels. 

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: 

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess training needs and evaluate programme effectiveness. 
  • Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative training solutions.
