JOB TITLE: ADMINISTRATOR REPORTS TO: Admin Lead Job description Provide administrative support to all members of the practice team, in particular Workflow and Read coding, referrals using ERS, and C the signs. Processing medical reports and SARs using IGPR. There may be times when you are asked to support the reception team. ADMINISTRATION: Document scanning Document screening, workflow to GPs and Data entry including Read Coding Processing records of deducted patients. Practice emails, checking and responding on a regular basis. Audits Undertake any other additional duties appropriate to the post as requested by the Partners or the Practice Manager It is important that all practice staff are flexible and prepared to adapt and take on additional duties or to relinquish existing duties to maintain the efficient running of the practice. The practice manager reserves the right to redistribute duties amongst staff from time to time based on business needs and changes to the GP Contract. Skills and attributes required are: Organised IT systems used by primary care, such as SystmOne Trustworthy Able to prioritise Adaptable Confidentiality: In the performance of the duties outlined in this Job Description, the post-holder will have access to confidential information relating to patients. They will also have access to information relating to the practice as a business organisation. All such information from any source is to be regarded as strictly confidential. Information relating to patients, carers, colleagues, other healthcare workers or the business of the practice may only be divulged to authorised persons in accordance with the practice policies and procedures relating to confidentiality and the protection of personal and sensitive data. Health & Safety: The post-holder will assist in promoting and maintaining their own and others health, safety and security as defined in the practice Health & Safety Policy, to include: Making effective use of training to update knowledge and skills Using appropriate infection control procedures, maintaining work areas in a tidy and safe way and free from hazards Reporting potential risks identified. Personal/Professional Development: The post-holder will participate in Mandatory training implemented by the practice during their induction period training will include: Participation in an annual appraisal Information Governance/GDPR Safeguarding training Level 2 Attendance at staff meetings Taking responsibility for own development, learning and performance and demonstrating skills and activities to others who are undertaking similar work. Quality: The post-holder will strive to maintain quality within the practice, and will: Alert other team members to issues of quality and risk Assess own performance and take accountability for own actions, either directly or under supervision Contribute to the effectiveness of the team by reflecting on own and team activities and making suggestions on ways to improve and enhance the teams performance Work effectively with individuals and other agencies to meet patients needs Effectively manage own time, workload and resources. Communication: The post-holder will be expected to demonstrate attention to detail and be able to communicate effectively and promptly with the practice team and other health care providers. Policy and service responsibility The post-holder will be expected to adhere to practice policies, and procedures and protocols.
