Summary
The Growth Company’s Employment team is seeking a dedicated In Work Support Advisor to join our Restart Scheme. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality, ongoing support to participants who have recently secured employment. You will provide regular check-ins, guidance, and interventions to help individuals sustain and progress in their roles, ensuring long-term employment success.
Within the Restart Scheme, you will be part of a government initiative that provides personalised support for up to 12 months to help people find a job in their local area and help overcome any challenges that might be standing in the way of employment.
We help to make a lasting difference to the lives of people throughout the North of England and beyond, by supporting individuals to gain meaningful employment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide regular, scheduled support calls to in-work participants to ensure job retention and progression.
Identify and escalate any “at risk” participants to Employment Advisors for early intervention.
Offer practical advice and problem-solving support to participants facing challenges in their new roles.
Liaise with employers (with participant consent) to address any workplace issues and promote positive outcomes.
Accurately record all participant interactions in line with company and contractual policies.
Monitor and document employment changes, including job losses or new employment, ensuring data is up to date and compliant.
Collaborate with Employment Advisors across multiple sites to ensure a seamless support experience. and accurate and effective manner.
Escalate complex cases or concerns to the Service Manager in a timely and professional manner.

A warm, approachable style to delivery is required in order to build relationships and rapport.
Warm, pleasant demeanour.
Good rapport building skills and negotiator.
Professional and articulate
Flexible and adaptable
Must have excellent telephone manner, good organisational skills, and excellent IT skills.
Ability to handle difficult situations with ease.
Negotiation skills, ability to challenge.
Skills Required:
Excellent knowledge of the local labour market, methods of recruitment and awareness of growth industries.
Knowledge of welfare to work and the customer base.
Experience in training, education, and employment opportunities.
Good knowledge of guidance and national standards.
Working knowledge of all Microsoft packages.
Knowledge of administrative systems.
Ability to work to challenging targets and key performance indicators.
Able to obtain information and record information accurately with high level of attention to detail.
