Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to help oversee daily operations at The Village Rest and our accommodation Glenview Luss. The Shift Manager will be responsible for ensuring smooth opening and closing procedures, guiding and supporting the teams of both sites and maintaining the highest standards of service and cleanliness. This position requires an individual who can work efficiently under pressure, maintain operational excellence, and inspire the team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities for both premises:

Opening & Closing Procedures:

Ensure the restaurant is fully operational by completing all opening and closing procedures.
Prepare the restaurant for service and ensure cleanliness and readiness of all areas.
Efficiently manage the guest check-in and check-out processes, ensuring smooth transitions for all guests. Providing detailed information about the property, amenities, and local attractions.
Secure the premises at the end of the shift and ensure all tasks are completed before closing time.
Team Leadership & Guidance:

Supervise and guide staff during shifts to ensure they are performing their duties efficiently and up to standard.
Provide support and feedback to staff members to create a positive working environment.
Work closely with housekeeping, maintenance, and other staff to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the accommodation.
Ensure accurate staff timekeeping and manage staff breaks.
Address and resolve any staffing issues or customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Operational Excellence & Standards:

Ensure adherence to company policies, health and safety regulations and quality standards at all times.
Ensure that both properties maintain a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and overall presentation.
Handle cash and till procedures, ensuring accuracy in all transactions.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations and dining areas.
Ensure a smooth handover at the end of each shift, including briefing the next shift manager on key details, unresolved issues, and ongoing tasks.
Customer Service & Satisfaction:

Ensure all guests receive exceptional service by maintaining a customer-first approach.
Act as the primary point of contact for all guests during their stay at Glenview Luss. Respond to inquiries, address concerns, and provide assistance with special requests, and any issues that may arise.
Resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
Monitor guest satisfaction to ensure a positive dining experience.
Qualifications:

Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality, accommodation or food service industry.
Strong leadership skills.
Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the food industry.
Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
Flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.
