Main Duties:
• To provide a comprehensive administrative support service to the Head of Legal Services, Deputy Head of Legal Services, Legal Services Office Manager and Claims and Inquests Officers
• Responsible for obtaining complex, confidential and sensitive patient healthcare records for disclosure within the time parameters of the GDPR (this can include urgent request of paediatric records in the context of child protection cases)
• To be responsible for the administration of the process of requesting Police factual statements of treatment and Police medical record requests in accordance with agreed Standing Operating Procedure with Thames Valley Police
• To be responsible to daily review of generic DTS account correspondence. Saving all attachments to the relevant legal file within the Legal folder on the 'O' drive / Sharepoint and e-mailing to the designated recipient
• To assist with the administrative aspects of inquest statement requests
• To keep Police and Inquest documentation up to date.
• Disclosure of healthcare records and radiology images by secure e-transfer
