Summary

Join Our Team as a Casual Youth Support Staff - Early Intervention & Prevention Service!

The Early Intervention & Prevention Service is on the lookout for enthusiastic and dedicated casual staff to join our team in supporting vibrant youth groups and exciting programs within the Wakefield district.


We are particularly looking for those with D1 category on their licence and experience of driving with passengers in a minibus.


As a valued team member, you will:

Transport staff and service users across the district to enable them to undertake programmes of activity.
Work directly with young people to enhance their informal education through the delivery of diverse and engaging programs.
Contribute to the provision of high-quality youth work, including group activities, detached outreach, individual support, and residential programs.
Play a key role in risk assessment for all activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Prioritise the wellbeing and safety of young people by actively promoting the safeguarding agenda and promptly sharing relevant information with Line Manager/Team Manager.

Qualifications and Skills:

D1 category on UK driving licence.
Previous experience working with young people is highly valued.
Genuine enthusiasm for contributing to the well-being and development of youth.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A confident, capable individual who can drive our fleet vehicles with passengers.
Availability: Candidates need to be regularly available, especially during the late afternoon/early evening and school holidays.
Mobility: The ability to travel easily around the district is essential.
Passion for Youth: We encourage candidates with previous experience working with young people to apply.
