Summary
The Directors and Manager of Holy Cross Preschool Nursery and Kids’ Club are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Play Worker for the wraparound provision - Kids’ Club. The ideal candidate will positively contribute to the provision of a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment in which young children are supported and encouraged in their play and ideas.
Working Hours: Part time. 7.15am-8.30am. Term time only
Salary: £12.25
Kids’ Club play worker role:
• Assist with planning, preparing and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.
• Consulting with children and involving them in planning activities.
• Providing comprehensive care for the children including collecting them from school and delivering them safely to parents or carers.
• Setting up the play space including moving furniture and play equipment.
• Providing refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health and safety standards are met.
• Administering first aid when necessary
• Covering afternoon kids’ club staff absences as and when needed 3.30pm-5.45pm
We are looking for a proactive member of the staff team who:
• will have a kind, calm and nurturing approach
• will promote good behaviour and independence
• will be an effective communicator, with good organisational skills
• has experience working with Nursery and Primary age children, whilst also being a great team player.
