Summary

On behalf of The Home Office, we are looking for a Commercial Officer x 2 (Inside IR35) for a 10-month contract-based Hybrid -London, Liverpool or Manchester.

As a Commercial Officer, your main responsibilities will be:

Provide procurement and contract management support, including the management of procurements and Statements of Work under existing contracts.
Acting as a contact for internal stakeholders and external supplier, supporting the management of commercial and contractual relationships.
Co-ordinating and contributing to contractual advice to ensure that contracts continue to reflect business requirements, through engagement with a ride of stakeholders.
Demonstrate an understanding of the terms and conditions or the contract, the deliverables and works with the supplier to develop a plan to deliver.
Effectively support complex contracts and lead and support on procurements, in line with procurement regulations and Home Office Commercial Governance.
Collaboratively work with the team to ensure best practice and continuous improvement.

Essential:

SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.
Experience of supporting complex contracts from a commercial perspective, ensuring value for money is achieved. Demonstrating strategic thinking, flexibility including the ability to manage multiple urgent priorities and risk management.
Experience of delivering high-quality commercial service across the full commercial lifecycle including knowledge and understanding of commercial policies, the practical application and the ability to implement the latest commercial methodologies.
Knowledge and experience of CCS Frameworks and methods of accessing them and good understanding of the Public Sector Procurement Regulations.

Desirable:

CIPS level 4
