Summary

Operational Services provides critical frontline services such as refuse collection, bereavement services and oversees the maintenance of parks, cemeteries, sports pitches, and local nature reserves. They also provide an emergency response to flooding, fallen trees and other emergencies.

We are looking to recruit an Apprentice who will become an integral part of Operational Services Administration team. The role will include the processing and raising of invoices and work instructions, dealing with customers queries face-to-face, via email and letters, along with other general administrative duties.

You will have a good level of keyboard skills, including a knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access; literacy and numeracy skills, and the ability to work on own initiative.

Apprentices normally attend work 4 days per week and college one day. During the apprenticeship, the successful candidate will work towards and will be supported to achieve level 3. The apprentice will be employed for approximately 2 years.
