Starting in August 2025, we are seeking a Waste Service Coordinator to join our Sourcing team for a 3-month fixed-term contract.
Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and logging calls from clients, ensuring their operational and contractual needs are accurately translated and met.
You will become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for several unique waste streams and suppliers, working closely with them to ensure services are delivered on time, in compliance with contractual SLAs, and aligned with cost, quality, and risk parameters.
Your responsibilities will also include ensuring the compliant procurement of waste services across the UK and overseeing new service requests from allocation to delivery.
This is an exciting opportunity for a service-focused, commercially aware individual with a passion for waste management and sustainability. You’ll be a key part of ISS’s Centre of Excellence for Waste, contributing to the delivery of world-class outsourced waste management services.

Key Responsibilities
Process and log client calls, translating requests into engineering or FM solutions
Identify appropriate solutions within the contractual process
Build and maintain relationships with clients and account delivery teams
Manage and update associated software (e.g., Maximo)
Perform general administration duties
Provide professional and articulate helpdesk support to clients
Support the account delivery team with administrative tasks
Escalate issues to line management and seek guidance as needed
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Educated to GCSE standard with at least 5 Grade C passes or above, or an NVQ in Business Administration, Customer Service, ICT or equivalent
Previous experience in customer service, contact centre or administrative role
Call handling experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office programmes
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work well in a team to achieve goals
Organised with good planning and data analysis skills
