Job Description:
The London Borough of Lambeth is seeking a skilled and experienced Payroll Technical Lead to join its Finance team. Based at Lambeth Town Hall, you will be responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of payroll operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the end-to-end monthly payroll processing cycle.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of Full Payment Submissions (FPS) and Real Time Information (RTI) to HMRC.
• Manage third-party payment processing, including pensions, court orders, and other statutory deductions.
• Lead testing and implementation of Oracle payroll system upgrades and patches.
• Raise and resolve technical issues with the Oracle payroll partner.
• Provide expert technical guidance and support to the wider payroll team.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in a senior payroll role with technical responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of Oracle payroll systems and statutory payroll requirements.
• Experience with system testing, issue resolution, and stakeholder communication.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
