We are looking for a caring and proactive Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in the South Birmingham area. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with a range of needs, including SEND, SEMH, and other additional learning requirements.

You'll work closely with teachers and support staff to help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment-one where every pupil is encouraged to reach their full potential.

This role is well-suited to individuals with experience supporting pupils with special educational needs, either in a mainstream school, SEN setting, or alternative provision. Whether you're an experienced TA or looking to take the next step in your education career, you'll benefit from a structured support system and ongoing professional development.

We're looking for someone who:

· Has relevant experience supporting children or young people with SEND (school-based or similar)

· Demonstrates empathy, resilience, and a child-centred approach

· Is confident working with pupils with autism, SEND or SEMH needs

· Can remain calm under pressure and support behaviour in a positive, restorative way

· Is reliable, adaptable, and works well within a team

Why join us?

· Supportive and well-equipped school settings to help you succeed in your role

· Personalised, one-to-one guidance throughout your recruitment journey

· Access to a wide range of opportunities in SEND schools, PRUs, and alternative provisions

· Ongoing CPD training, including courses in safeguarding and behaviour management

· Dedicated support from a specialist SEND consultant who understands your needs

· A generous 'Recommend a Friend' referral scheme

· A genuine commitment to matching the right person with the right school - we listen, we understand, and we care

· Competitive daily rates, starting from £85 per day

Key responsibilities:

· Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEND and/or SEMH

· Assist the class teacher with planning and adapting learning activities

· Support the development of pupils' communication, social, and emotional skills

· Promote a calm and supportive classroom environment

· Help implement strategies in line with pupils' EHCPs

· Support positive behaviour management

We are committed to promoting diversity and inclusion within our workforce and welcome applications from all suitably qualified individuals.

To register with us, you will need to complete an enhanced DBS check, provide valid ID, and submit satisfactory professional references.
