Summary
Job Role: SEND Teacher
Location: Birmingham
Contract: Full-time, long-term cover (September to December)
Daily rate: £150-£200 (depending on experience)
We're looking for a thoughtful, committed SEND teacher to join a specialist setting that supports pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). This is a full-time, long-term cover role from September to December, teaching a small KS3 class of six students, with the support of two experienced Learning Support Assistants.
About the role:
- Full-time, long-term cover from September to December
- Teaching a KS3 class of 6 pupils, all with ASC (some students are non-verbal)
- Supported by 2 experienced Learning Support Assistants
- Working within a highly collaborative, supportive environment
- Emphasis on individualised learning, communication development, and emotional regulation
Key responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver differentiated, engaging lessons tailored to a range of abilities
- Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate effectively with support staff and therapists to meet pupils' EHCP goals
- Promote social, emotional, and behavioural development

We're looking for someone who:
- Has UK QTS or relevant teaching qualification with SEND experience

- Can work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
