JOIN A HIGH-ENERGY KITCHEN TEAM IN A UNIQUE LOCATION
Are you a skilled, enthusiastic chef looking for a new challenge in a fast-paced, professional kitchen? This is a fantastic
opportunity to join our catering team at Exeter Airport, where no two days are the same, and the food you prepare will shape the
experience of travellers from around the world.
Working closely with our Kitchen Manager, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, consistent food across multiple
outlets. From breakfast rushes to last-minute boarding snacks, your attention to detail, passion for cooking, and commitment to
safety will help set our catering offer apart. Kindly note that access to personal transport is required due to the 2:00 AM start
times, as public transportation is unavailable at that hour.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
* Prepare and present food to high standards, following set recipes and procedures
* Assist in delivering food across all food & beverage outlets within the airport
* Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and storage areas
* Monitor stock rotation and report waste or food nearing expiry
* Receive and safely store deliveries, following all hygiene procedures
* Operate kitchen equipment correctly and safely, reporting any issues
* Support stock takes and kitchen admin duties as required
* Uphold food safety, health & safety, and COSHH standards at all times
* Work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver smooth, efficient service
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Essential:
* BTEC or NVQ Level 2 in Hospitality or Professional Cookery (or equivalent)
* At least 1 year of professional kitchen experience in a fast-paced setting
* Understanding of food hygiene and health & safety regulations
* Experience with stock control and working to production standards
* Flexible and reliable—able to work weekends, early mornings, or occasional evenings
Desirable:
* Level 2 Food Safety Certificate
* First Aid at Work qualification
* Experience in menu planning or costing
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
