Summary
Are you passionate about teaching Maths in a way that connects, engages, and challenges? A School in Essex is seeking a motivated Maths Teacher to join their team from September 2025.
This full-time, permanent role is ideal for a confident classroom practitioner ready to deliver high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 - and potentially KS5 depending on experience. The school values clear communication, thoughtful planning, and a strong belief that all students can succeed in Mathematics.
You'll be working in a collaborative and well-resourced department that encourages creativity and offers excellent CPD. Whether you're an experienced teacher or an enthusiastic ECT, you'll be supported to develop your practice and progress your career.
Key Responsibilities
•
Teach Maths to students across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 opportunities may be available)
•
Use a range of teaching strategies to engage and challenge learners
•
Monitor progress and adapt lessons to support individual student needs
•
Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment, and department development
•
Promote a positive learning environment with high expectations
•
Take part in school-wide initiatives and ongoing professional development
Qualifications and Experience
•
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
•
Experience teaching Maths in a secondary school
•
Strong knowledge of the curriculum and subject pedagogy
•
Excellent behaviour management and lesson planning skills
•
ECTs welcome - full induction and mentoring provided
•
A passion for Maths and the ability to communicate it with clarity and energy
