SEND Teaching Assistant – Worcester

Start Date: September 2025
Location: Worcester
Hours: Full-time, 8:30am – 3:30pm (Term time only)

    About the Role

    TeacherActive are working closely with a respected mainstream secondary school in Worcester seeking a committed and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team in September 2025.
    This role will initially be for the first term, with the potential to extend.

    Key Details:

    • 3 days working with KS3 & KS4


    • 2 days working with KS5


    • Must be comfortable supporting students across all secondary year groups


      Your Responsibilities Will Include:

      ✅ 1:1 student support
      ✅ Small group interventions
      ✅ Adapting support for diverse learning needs
      ✅ Specialised support for students with Autism
      ✅ Behavioural strategy implementation
      ✅ Liaising with teachers, SENDCo, SLT, and parents/carers
      ✅ Tracking and monitoring student progress
      ✅ Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment

      We’re Looking for Someone Who Has:

      ✔️ Minimum 12 months experience supporting children with Autism
      ✔️ Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships
      ✔️ Calm, adaptable and patient nature
      ✔️ Excellent communication & behaviour management skills
      ✔️ Flexible and able to think on their feet
      ✔️ Full availability during school hours (8:30 – 3:30, term time)
