Position Title: HR Business Partner
Role Status: Permanent Full Time
Reports To: AKG UK HR Director
Roles Reporting to this Position: n/a
Primary Objective: The HR Business Partner is responsible for the management and overall effectiveness of HR processes, employee projects and initiatives across the group of UK businesses.

Operating as a business partner to internal stakeholders and, they will have a high level of accountability and provide effective support, fostering a positive culture of collaboration whilst mitigating any potential risks to the business.

Key Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced and pro-active HR Business Partner to support the development of a new and growing business. Working in collaboration with key stakeholders, this is a great opportunity for someone with partnering experience in a company where their creative ideas will be welcomed and actioned.
To be effective within the role you will need to be able to demonstrate proven experience of resolving complex HR matters and engaging with senior stakeholders to improve people performance.
You’ll be excited by the prospect of being in a friendly, growth environment and the level of ambiguity which sometimes comes with building new and growing businesses.
Core Responsibilities
• Effective support and coaching to managers across a range of areas, including absence management and performance management.
• Directly managing and resolving complex employee relations cases and issues.
• Manage succession planning and career development initiatives.
• Providing training, coaching and upskilling to managers on HR policies, processes and best practice.
• Providing support and advice regarding contractual changes (FWAs, internal moves, compensation changes etc.).
• Leading & managing HR projects across a range of areas (Engagement, TUPE transfers, restructures etc.).


Essential/Desirable Skills, Knowledge and Experience
• A strong generalist background with experience of the full employee lifecycle and great understanding across the HR function.
• Proven experience as a Business Partner.
• Confident knowledge of UK employment law.
• Great communicator with strong EQ, both in 1:1 and in large groups.
• Direct in approach, with an ability to challenge & influence at all levels.
• Ability to use data and analytics to measure success and output.
• Desire to work in a new, scale-up organisation, where there is a need to be both creative and pragmatic.
• A solid understating of current and innovative HR best practices.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask.
• CIPD Level 5 or equivalent qualification.
