Summary

Technical Manager

Do you have a experience of working in a venue technical department?

We are looking for a friendly hardworking Technical Manager, to work as part of our Production team who is committed to the highest standards of technical production, presentation and service. You will work closely with the Production Manager and be responsible for the delivery of all technical equipment and production requirements for all performances and events throughout Anvil Arts venues. You will undertake the role of Technical Stage Manager and act as the primary point of contact for the visiting company and house crew on a day-to-day basis and will be responsible for coordinating and working with the team on fit ups, get outs and venue format changes.

The Key Objectives of this post are;

to work with the Production Manager and team and be responsible for the delivery of all technical equipment and production requirements for performances and events throughout Anvil Arts venues
to be committed to ensuring the highest standards of technical production presentation and service, with the aim of delivering an experience that delights and is above expectation
to deputise for the Production Manager in their absence
to line manage and train the Casual Production Technicians ensuring essential skills and development
to take an active lead in the development and implementation of safe working practices, procedures, and training for the Production Technicians ensuring a skilled and motivated team
to research implement and oversee plans for technical upgrades in collaboration with Production Manager and Chief Technicians to ensure Anvil Arts venues remain technically relevant
to take an active lead in maintenance, servicing, and inspection of production technical equipment along with overseeing upgrades within all Anvil Arts venues
to act as a primary point of contact and undertake the role of Venue Stage Manager for the visiting company and house crew on a day-to- day-basis
to act as the Stage Manager for the Pantomime season and take an active lead in its planning and setup in conjunction with the Production Manager
to assist the Production Manager and Production Administrator in pre-production planning for performances and events to include the months and seasons ahead
to act as an out of hours key holder

Position Details:

Permanent full-time 40 hours per week (across the pay period)

31 days/ 6.2 weeks holiday including bank holidays
