Summary

1. Support the Trust EPMA team in the implementation, development, testing/validation and maintenance of the EPMA system across the Trust. 2. To assist in the day-to-day management of the EPMA system including the documentation of operational procedural material on the use and management of the system. 3. To set up and maintain the pharmacy aspects of the EPMA system and databases working closely with the Lead for Clinical Informatics and ePMA, Trust EPMA Programme Manager and other relevant third parties. 4. To assists in the development and implementation of contingency plans to ensure patient safety and service delivery are maintained during planned downtime or in the event of system failure. 5. To acts as a coordinator for pharmacy aspects of the EPMA system and ensure any pharmacy related incidents are prioritised, logged, resolved and/or escalated to the Lead for Clinical Informatics and ePMA and Trust EPMA and ICT team as needed. 6. To liaise with senior Pharmacy colleagues regarding prescribing guidelines, medicines/governance policies, formulary/D&T decisions, etc to ensure these are brought to the implementation, development and maintenance of the Trust EPMA system. 7. To liaise with the EPMA system supplier to ensure the appropriate maintenance of the EPMA system and the continued delivery and development of its functions and upgrades. 8. To support the Lead for Clinical Informatics and ePMA in providing data and conducting audits for strategy development, service planning, performance and activity monitoring, budgeting and financial management. To lead on providing monthly reports on medicines prescribed and administered within the Trust. 9. To regularly audit, analyse and interpret data to identify anomalies, resolve problems and ensure data integrity. 10. To liaise with and cover the duties of the Pharmacy IT team and pharmacy systems as needed but primarily during periods of their absence. Please see full JD attached
