Electrical Engineer (Water) - Consultant-bias

Are you an Electrical Engineer with water industry experience, ready for a challenging consultancy role in London? We're seeking a motivated individual to deliver innovative electrical designs for critical water and wastewater treatment projects.

What You'll Do

You'll be responsible for the detailed electrical design of water and wastewater treatment plants. This includes:

  • Producing technical specifications, schematics, and design deliverables (power distribution, motor control, instrumentation, PLC/SCADA).
  • Conducting feasibility studies, site surveys, and electrical calculations.
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, clients, and contractors.
  • Reviewing external designs for compliance and quality.
  • Providing technical input for early contractor involvement (ECI) and de-risking.
  • Contributing to bid preparation and staying current with industry standards and technologies.

What You'll Need

We're looking for an experienced professional with:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven electrical design and delivery experience in water/wastewater treatment, ideally from a consultancy.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Amtech).
  • Strong understanding of UK electrical codes, water industry standards, and WIMES.
  • Familiarity with water treatment processes and ICA integration.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to health, safety, and environmental best practices.
  • Ideally working towards or holding Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
