Lingfield Park Resort has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Assistant to join their team.

About the role…

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will take responsibility for the general maintenance of the resort and upkeep of its facilities. You will ensure that jobs are completed efficiently to ensure that the guest expectations are met during their visit. You will complete the daily job list and preventative maintenance schedules with an eye for detail and a passion for fixing things! You will also liaise with contractors and take responsibility for health and safety. The Maintenance Assistant will also become involved in larger projects and provide support to the Maintenance team in carrying out general basic maintenance on the buildings.

Flexibility towards hours of work is a prerequisite for this position. The Maintenance Assistant is part of a team covering the 24/7 operation of our business and 40 hours per week will be scheduled to reflect this, in addition you will be expected to contribute time to the call-out. Lieu days will be taken for additional time worked.

About you…

Experience of working in a maintenance department or handyman style role

Racecourse, Sport, Leisure or hotel background would be an advantage

High level of interpersonal skills

Logical approach to tasks

Personable and works well within a small team

Excellent approach towards time management

Works well under pressure.

Customer service focused (internal and external).

Organised and takes pride in workmanship.

Trade’s qualifications / experience preferred but not essential
