Curious about what a career in education could look like for someone like you?
Then this role could be the launchpad you didn’t know you needed.
The Opportunity:
We’re looking for a bright, motivated Engineering or STEM graduate to join a brand-new, purpose-built secondary school in Acton, Ealing, as a Graduate Teaching Assistant from September 2025.
Working across science, maths and technology departments, you'll support students who are currently falling behind in core subjects — helping them grasp key concepts, grow in confidence, and develop the skills they need to succeed. You’ll work with individuals and small groups, playing a crucial role in shaping young minds, especially those aspiring toward STEM careers.
This is an outstanding opportunity for aspiring teachers or educators looking to gain meaningful, hands-on school experience in a high-achieving environment.
The School:
Located in Acton, in the borough of Ealing, this brand-new school is part of a respected multi-academy trust with a track record of academic excellence. The school officially opens to its full cohort in September 2025 and has been designed from the ground up with future-focused learning in mind.
What sets it apart:
• A stunning new campus with cutting-edge science labs, fully-equipped DT workshops, and flexible digital learning spaces
• A passionate founding staff team focused on innovation, inclusion, and high achievement
• A culture that actively promotes STEM outreach, diversity in engineering, and university progression
• Strong partnerships with universities, employers, and local organisations
You’ll be joining at a formative moment — with the chance to shape the school’s culture, contribute ideas, and help build something from the ground up.
Ideal Candidates Will:
• Hold a 2:1 or above in Engineering or another STEM degree from a top university (Russell Group preferred)
• Have a clear interest in working with young people and exploring a career in education
• Be a confident communicator with a proactive, team-oriented mindset
• Be curious, adaptable, and excited to contribute to a brand-new school environment
What You'll Gain:
• Practical classroom experience in a cutting-edge, supportive school
• First-hand insight into the teaching profession and school systems
• Training and mentorship from experienced educators
• A strong foundation for teacher training routes such as PGCE, School Direct, or Teach First
