Your Role – Graduate Unqualified Science Teacher

As a Graduate Unqualified Science Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting Science education throughout the school. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the delivery of engaging, practical, and theory-based Science lessons.
• Leading small group interventions and providing 1:1 academic support for students.
• Supporting pupils in preparation for GCSE exams, offering tailored feedback.
• Helping to plan and prepare lesson content under the guidance of experienced teachers.
• Encouraging curiosity and critical thinking through well-structured classroom support.
• Monitoring student progress and working closely with colleagues to adapt teaching strategies.

Who We’re Looking For – Graduate Unqualified Science Teacher

To be successful in this Graduate Unqualified Science Teacher position, you will need:

• A 2:1 or First-Class degree in a Science-based subject (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Natural Sciences).
• Strong academic performance at A-Level and GCSE, particularly in science subjects.
• A desire to work in education and train toward becoming a qualified teacher.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive, enthusiastic attitude and the ability to inspire young learners.
• Any previous experience working with young people (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, or voluntary work) is beneficial but not essential.
