Summary
Are you passionate about exploring the world, its people, and its past? A school in Essex is seeking a versatile and enthusiastic Humanities Teacher to join their team from September 2025.
This full-time, permanent role offers the opportunity to teach across a range of Humanities subjects, including History, Geography, and/or RS, depending on your specialism and the needs of the department. You'll be part of a collaborative team that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and global awareness.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality Humanities lessons across KS3 and KS4
•
Promote critical thinking, empathy, and global understanding
•
Plan and assess in line with curriculum requirements
•
Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities
•
Engage positively with pupils and support wider school life
•
Participate in professional development and departmental planning
Qualifications and Experience
•
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
•
Experience teaching one or more Humanities subjects
•
Strong classroom management and communication skills
•
Passion for the Humanities and cross-curricular connections
•
ECTs welcome - full mentoring and induction available
•
A commitment to inclusive, student-centred teaching
