About the Role:

A well-established and respected house builder is looking to recruit a Senior Site Manager to join their growing team in the South Home Counties. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will take a lead role in managing a busy residential development, ensuring the site programme is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll work closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams, while driving build quality and maintaining a strong health and safety culture on site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily operations of a live construction site
• Monitor site resources including labour, materials, and plant
• Oversee and coordinate subcontractors and ensure quality standards
• Take ownership of site issues and ensure swift resolution
• Drive a proactive safety culture and enforce Health & Safety compliance
• Lead key meetings with subcontractors, sales teams, and the project team
• Monitor costs and assist in identifying savings and efficiencies

Must Have:

• CITB SMSTS
• First Aid at Work
• Valid CSCS Card
• Previous experience in a similar senior role
• Strong background in house building to NHBC standards

Ideally Have:

• Scaffold Theory & Inspection or CISRS Inspector
• Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC – CITB)
• Site Environmental Management (CITB SEATS or IEMA)
• Strong IT and reporting skills
• Excellent communication and leadership ability
• A confident problem solver with strong time management skills
