Summary
To provide specialised hospital optometric/ophthalmic services to a large diverse rural and urban catchment area. To manage a personal caseload of patients. To contribute effectively to a high quality, comprehensive and cost effective directorate service through integration with medical staff/line managers and other agencies. To provide supervision and tuition to less experienced optometrists and pre-registration optometrists. To be responsible for stock maintenance and patient-specific ordering for the contact lens and low visual aid services. To contribute to the development of services within the Directorate.
