Summary
Experience Machine Operator:
Experience gained on packaging machinary an advantage
Keen to progress candidates who have worked as a machine operator and would like to progress.
Must have English and Maths, at least GCSE level
Engineering or Mechanical knowledge of machinery is a definite advantage
Good communication skills
Willingness to learn
Available 40 hours per week
Understanding of Manual Handling
Be able to take instructions
Job Function:
Set up/operate machines in accordance with job sheets and quality standards.
Typical activities:
Set up machines
Operate machines whilst following and considering own and colleagues Health & Safety.
Check first off samples, and continue to check random samples of product throughout the manufacturing process in adherence with production order sheet.
Removal and disposal of waste from the workplace and machine area correctly leaving the area tidy.
Responsibility for final count
Other activities
May be required to undertake other activities than those mentioned above by Production Manager
