Summary
Are you ready to inspire the next generation of linguists? A school in Essex is seeking a passionate MFL Teacher to join their team full-time from September 2025.
This permanent role is perfect for a teacher with a strong background in French, and possibly a second language such as Spanish or German. You'll teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, and potentially Key Stage 5 depending on experience. The MFL department is well-supported, collaborative, and dedicated to promoting language learning as a valuable, life-enhancing skill.
Whether you're an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher, you'll benefit from structured CPD, strong peer support, and opportunities to grow within the school's inclusive and aspirational culture.
Key Responsibilities
• Teach French (and/or another MFL) across KS3 and KS4
• Plan and deliver engaging, culturally rich language lessons
• Assess and track student progress to ensure strong outcomes
• Foster a love of languages and international understanding
• Contribute to department planning and extra-curricular activities
• Support school-wide literacy and cultural events
Qualifications and Experience
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Strong subject knowledge in French (additional languages a plus)
• Experience teaching MFL in a UK secondary school
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• ECTs welcome - full induction and mentoring provided
• A passion for languages, cultures, and global citizenship
