We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled HGV Technician to join our growing fleet maintenance team in Tipton. As a key member of the workshop, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of a diverse fleet of heavy goods vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities of the HGV Technician
• Carry out routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of HGVs in a fleet environment
• Ensure all work meets high standards and industry regulations
• Complete brake, suspension, axle repairs, welding and structural repairs
• Maintain accurate service records and compliance documents
• Follow health and safety standards in a busy workshop setting
• Work collaboratively with other technicians to support team success
Essential Skills & Qualifications – HGV Technician
• Proven experience as an HGV Technician, ideally within a fleet maintenance environment
• Ability to work independently and meet workshop deadlines
• Full UK driving licence (HGV Class 1 preferred but not essential)
Desirable Skills & Qualifications – HGV Technician
• IRTEC accreditation
• Industry-recognised qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds)
• Experience with tail lift, lifting deck, or double-deck trailer maintenance
