Summary
Here at Stonewater, we’re looking for a detail-driven and customer-focused Peer Leader – Rents & Service Charges (Specialist Support) to help ensure our rent and service charge processes are accurate, transparent, and fully compliant. In this specialist role, you’ll play a vital part in maintaining financial integrity across a wide range of contract types and tenures—ensuring fixed and variable service charge notifications and reconciliations are issued accurately and on time.
As a frontline leader, you’ll provide peer-to-peer coaching and technical support across the RSC team, guiding colleagues through complex queries, policy interpretation, and best practice. You’ll act as the first point of contact during peer-checking of variable service charge reviews, offer one-to-one oversight before approval, and lead the review and accurate application of management company invoices—clearly identifying chargeable and non-chargeable elements to ensure internal consistency and transparency for customers.
Working collaboratively with Performance Delivery Managers, the Mentoring Manager, Peer Leaders, and other key stakeholders, you’ll drive continuous improvement across service delivery, compliance, and customer satisfaction. You’ll also lead on reconciliations for high-profile schemes, support audits, and help embed a customer-centric mindset across the team. Through your leadership, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence, you’ll ensure Stonewater’s frontline teams deliver consistent, accountable services that meet the evolving needs of our customers.
The ideal candidate will:
Have strong analytical and critical thinking skills, able to resolve complex financial and service issues, applying sound judgement, and innovative, compliant solutions.
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, for clearly explaining complex rent and service charge information and producing professional reports and correspondence.
Be skilled in monitoring KPI’s, analysing data to identify trends and service gaps, and driving continuous improvement aligned with organisational goals.
Have up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks, with experience supporting audits and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
Have strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and external partners, build rapport, provide peer support, and share knowledge effectively.
Be resilient and adaptable, able to manage changing priorities while supporting others through change with a solution-focused approach.
Have working knowledge/experience of the MS Office suite particularly Excel function and experience of accurate data presentation.
Have experience of coaching and leading colleagues, supporting team development through knowledge sharing, induction, and tailored training to build technical confidence and capability.
Appointment to this role will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Check, satisfactory references and possession of a valid Right to Work document.
