Summary
Providing advice to the Chain of Command, especially Air Cap, 1 & 2 Groups, through the SSRC (AOC 11 Gp) on all STRAP security matters. In addition, provide advice to all 2* Business Areas, but particularly SAP Compartment Owners (SCO) in Air Cap (and SPECAP) related to the security of SAP information and capabilities.
As the deputy for all matters relating to the security for STRAP & SAP within Air, including certification of facilities and Personnel Security assurance, engage with stakeholders ensuring Air is securing STRAP and SAP assets in accordance with respective policy requirements.
Support the development and maintenance of the HQ Air STRAP directives, compliance, and policies derived from Cabinet Office policy, and support the development and maintenance of the HQ Air SAP directives, compliance and policies based on HQ Air risk appetite, and MOD policy.
As an Air representative for STRAP & SAP security, you will be required to represent Air at during Working Groups with external stakeholders and supporting the lead for STRAP and SAP security advice at 2* Governance Boards within Air.
Support the development and operational delivery of the HQ Air STRAP & SAP Security Strategy and Directives respectively.
Assure Air Capability Programme Boards and processes, providing STRAP & SAP advice and direction to Senior Responsible Owners (1*).
Deputise for the Corporate STRAP/SAPSO as the Air authority for the certification of STRAP Certified Areas (SCAs) & SAP Facilities (SAPFs).
Direct the assurance of security inspections of Air SCAs & SAPFs, reporting findings as required.
Oversee and assure compliance with delegated risk appetite for all STRAP applications and oversee and assure SAP applications on behalf of SCOs and Dir Capability. Monitor and assure the continued suitability of STRAP & SAP applicants and those inducted alongside PSyA Personnel Security and Counter-Intelligence teams.
Manage all security investigations related to STRAP & SAP, and implement recommendations, including oversight of resulting remedial actions or sanctions.
