Summary
Please note this is not a Swansea city council job. You will be working with a private client who received direct payments.
A little about myself:
I am a looking for a PA to support me in my flat with some day-to-day tasks such as cooking and cleaning. Help addressing correspondence and help creating systems and routines that can assist me to be more independent. I can carry out these tasks but need additional support as I had an accident in work over a year ago that left me with a brain injury and memory loss.
Male preferred.
Hours of work:
5hrs per week possibly split into 2.5-hour visits. Monday and Fridays are preferable, and early evenings are also possible and weekends. Additional hours to cover second PA holidays available.
Rate of pay
£12.75 per hour
Essential:
I need you to:
• Are male.
• Are honest and reliable
Desirable
I’d prefer if:
• You have some experience of supporting roles and responsibilities related to such roles.
I’d like support with:
• Support with cooking meals for the week and weekly cleaning, not asking for someone to do it for me just help me to do it for myself.
• Help with keeping on top of letters that come and any phone calls I have.
I will need my PA to:
Respect and understand the importance of privacy and confidentiality.
Be confident, mature and have patience.
Be dependable and arrive on time.
Be friendly with an easy-going manner.
Be adaptable and flexible.
Be supportive but not take over.
Have business insurance on your car to take clients out.
Concerning the position
A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. Salary will be paid monthly (Annual leave is calculated on a pro rata basis). A DBS MUST be processed prior to any commencement of employment. Costs of DBS will be met by Swansea council where applicant is eligible.
