Office Administrator – Salford (Full-Time)
Overview:
An established and respected engineering solutions provider is currently seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Office Administrator to join their team at their Manchester office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative experience and a proactive mindset to contribute to a dynamic and supportive team.
Salary & Working Hours:
Salary: £27,000 per annum
Hours: 36.5 hours per week
Schedule:
• Monday to Thursday – 8:30am to 4:50pm
• Friday – 8:30am to 3:50pm
• Includes a 50-minute lunch break
Location: 100% office-based (Manchester)
Reporting To:
Office Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Process employees’ expenses in line with internal procedures and HMRC guidelines
Collate data and documentation for tender pre-qualification submissions
Manage supplier and subcontractor invoice processing
Set up and review supplier accounts in line with quality assurance protocols
Reconcile supplier statements and company credit cards
Prepare payment runs for suppliers and subcontractors
Raise and receipt purchase orders
Monitor and manage petty cash
Provide telephone support, handling calls and general queries
Perform ad hoc administrative tasks to support departmental needs
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will bring:
Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
Effective organisational and time management capabilities
Sound problem-solving abilities
A collaborative approach and team-oriented attitude
Strong communication skills across all levels of the business
Desire to contribute to process improvement and efficiency
AAT qualification (desirable)
Prior experience in an accounts or administration role (preferred)
