Summary
Based in the heart of Cambridge, St Catharine’s College is looking to appoint Housekeeping Assistants to work either full time (37.5 hours per week) or part time (min. 22 hours per week) in our our busy, friendly Housekeeping team, providing a first class service for our college community.
Working as part of the busy Housekeeping team to ensure a high standard of cleanliness is achieved and maintained throughout the college.
The ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:
An ability or aptitude to clean and service college rooms using agreed methods and procedures: ensuring a high standard of cleanliness is achieved and maintained at all times.
Good communication skills are essential as the nature of the role is customer facing and will involve contact with students, Fellows, visitors, conference guests and work colleagues.
Be able to manage their own workload and work to deadlines which is particularly important during busy conference periods when our award winning B&B service is in place.
Working arrangements and salary
Competitive annual salary of £24,664.50 pa (pro rata for part time hours) / £12.60 per hour.
The successful candidates may be deployed to work across any College property (within the city of Cambridge), depending on the needs of the department.
