Are you an experienced arable operator looking for the next step in your agricultural career? Join Rothamsted Research, one of the UK’s most prestigious and historic scientific institutes, where your skills will directly support cutting-edge field trials and sustainable farming innovations.

With farm sites across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, and Suffolk, we lead globally in agricultural science. We're now looking for a dedicated and capable Agricultural Operator to join our Harpenden team and contribute to both our commercial farming and research field trials.

What You'll Be Doing

This is a varied and rewarding role that involves:

Supporting safe, efficient operations across commercial and trial farm areas
Contributing to field trial implementation and maintenance
Collaborating closely with researchers and technical teams
You’ll work alongside an experienced and supportive team, bringing your own knowledge while continuing to learn and develop new areas of expertise.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will:

Be an experienced arable operator, confident in modern farming practices
Have solid IT skills to maintain accurate records and follow protocols
Bring a problem-solving mindset and openness to innovation
