A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Technician to join a UK known high precision engineering firm in the Andover area!
With no day ever being the same, the production technician will be involved in the central processes of an environment undergoing large expansion! Below outlines the day to day responsibilities:
Role & Responsibilities:
- Involved in loading/unloading materials or maintaining stock
- You will routinely carry out quality checks to ensure that products meet pre-defined specifications
- General hand tool work and operation of various equipment
- Adopting a hands-on approach to enable maximum efficiency
- Assembly & testing of our products using a range of electrical &mechanical equipment
- Sorting, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch
- Stock checking and keeping inventory accurate
- Safe use of warehouse equipment (full training provided)
- General warehouse tasks to support the team
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and resolve any issues that may arise
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience or understanding of working within a Manufacturing Production Plant
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools is advantageous
- Excellent English communication and writing skills
- Solid background in working safely and ensuring appropriate PPE is always utilised appropriately
- Ability to interpret and work from technical documentation is advantageous but not essential.
- Team player with attention to detail
