Hays Education are working in partnership with a high-performing alternative provision academy in Macclesfield to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher. This is a full-time role starting in September 2025, initially on a temporary basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

About the Role
- Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, including GCSE Maths.
- Support students with a range of additional needs, including low prior attainment, anxiety, and behavioural challenges.
- Use creative and flexible teaching strategies to re-engage learners and close gaps in knowledge.
- Work collaboratively with pastoral staff, SEN specialists, and external agencies.
- Contribute to a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) and experience teaching Maths at secondary level.
- A strong understanding of SEMH, trauma-informed practice, and inclusive teaching methods.
- Excellent classroom management and the ability to build trusting relationships with vulnerable learners.
- A flexible, resilient, and compassionate approach to education.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
