Governors of this popular, successful and oversubscribed 11-16 High School are seeking to appoint a committed, motivated and enthusiastic ICT technician to join our team. The job description has been updated following retirement of the long-standing previous post holder. The salary grading is therefore pending job evaluation. The successful applicant will be employed to work 37 hours per week (term time only, plus 10 additional days during holiday periods).

At Elton, we have an ICT Managed Service with Abtec. They manage our network infrastructure and high level ICT monitoring. The ICT Technician post will be fully supported by Abtec. All ICT Issues are reported through a helpdesk environment and the day to day jobs will be allocated to the post holder.

Duties will include monitoring the helpdesk job tickets; first and second line support for all network connected hardware and software including desktops, laptops, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, firewalls, servers, phone system and other IT peripherals; maintaining new and existing accounts on the school’s local network through Active Directory, Group Policy, Office 365 and Google; and delivering an outstanding IT service that is highly customer focused to both staff and students.
