Summary

Safeguarding Learning and Development QA Officer x 2

1 x permanent and 1 x fixed term contract.


Your role:

The primary purpose of the role is to ensure that all referrals relating to the protection and welfare of ‘at risk’ individuals, including children and adults are managed with accuracy, timeliness, and in compliance with statutory guidelines and organisational policy and procedures.

The role involves monitoring and reviewing the quality and consistency of referral processes, identifying areas for improvement, and supporting frontline staff to uphold best practices. Through analysing referral data, conducting audits, and facilitating continuous improvement and training, the role will help to ensure that safeguarding concerns are appropriately assessed and acted upon, ultimately promoting the safety, well-being, and rights of those at risk.

Safeguarding and Quality Assurance Role: We are recruiting for 2 Vacancies, 1 permanent and 1 fixed term post for 12 months with possible extension subject to funding.


Additional Information:

We are currently looking to fill two posts for Safeguarding Learning and Development, 1 permanent and fixed term contract.

The location will be based at Fire Service HQ and Hybrid Working

In this role you will

  • Working across all areas of Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue
  • Providing support to frontline staff responsible for safeguarding referrals
  • Acting in a quality assurance role for referrals
  • Take part in continual personal development training to ensure that you remain current in changes in any legislation or practice.
  • Provide training to staff in operational and non-operational roles.

About you:

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service is looking for an innovative and passionate individual to lead and deliver training on safeguarding within the organisation, raising the profile of GMFRS and the good practice of the team.

You will have experience working across multiple areas and collaborating with partners in the public, private or voluntary sectors to achieve organisational objectives and improve outcomes.

The candidate will have:

  • Ability to work across the Greater Manchester area
  • Ability to build working relationships with partner organisations and GMFRS personnel.
  • Experience of delivering training and development
  • Experience of safeguarding children and adults
  • Ability to deal with sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people community and service users, GMFRS and representatives from partner organisations.
  • Experience of communicating and presenting to a wide range of audiences.
  • Self-motivation and can persuade and influence others.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills.
