Full job description
As a Machine Plant Operator, you will be working a multitask role which includes the operation of a 360 Grab and Loading shovel in a busy recycling facility; processing and loading recyclable material and being directly responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of any site vehicle under their use.
Successful applicant will not be allowed to drive machinery fully until training is completed and signed off. Whilst training, you will be keeping the area clean, clear and safe until licensed / trained to operate machinery.
Key responsibilities and duties
Duties will include (but not limited to):
• Loading of articulated lorries with loading shovel
• Loading curtain side lorries with Teletruck
• Sorting waste with 360 excavator
• Cleaning of working areas
• Maintenance and cleaning of mobile plant
• Contributing to the reporting of safety observations
Key Skills
• Driving heavy plant machinery.
• Previous experience in the recycling industry is desirable
• Vehicle loading
• Ability to prioritise and multitask
Monday – Friday: 12:00 pm – 22:00 pm, with 30 minutes unpaid break,
Pay rate: £14.62 per hour. Potential to earn £16.04 on completion of multiple licences
