Summary

Hallwood Park Primary School is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team.
Now proudly part of the Shaw Education Trust, Hallwood Park is a small, nurturing school set in beautiful grounds, complete with a pond and allotment. Our youngest learners are curious, joyful, and eager to explore – and we’re committed to providing them with the very best start to their education.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate HLTA to support our EYFS provision. The successful candidate will be working with a very small groups of children with a high-level of additional needs. These children will be in the main EYFS provision but will need enhanced provision and carefully planned activities to ensure that they are meeting their development goals and targets from their personalised learning journeys. Working closely with the EYFS Lead, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality early years education by leading small group activities, contributing to planning, and supporting children’s individual learning journeys. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is creative, reflective, and deeply committed to early childhood development.
The ideal candidate will:
Have HLTA status or equivalent experience
Have experience working with children with SEND
Bring energy, warmth, and a child-centred approach
Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills
Have a good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development
Be confident in supporting and delivering planned learning to small groups
Contribute to creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment
