Our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Deputy Nurse Manager (RGN or RMN) to join their management team. This is an exciting opportunity for a clinically confident and people-focused nurse looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and progressive environment.
As the Deputy Nurse Manager will support the Home Manager in leading and inspiring the nursing and care teams. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the service, maintaining excellent standards of care and regulatory compliance, while remaining actively involved in clinical practice.
Whether you’re an RGN with a passion for general nursing or an RMN with experience supporting older adults with complex mental health or dementia needs, your clinical leadership will be central to the success of the home.
What We’re Looking For
- Registered Nurse – RGN or RMN – with a valid NMC pin
- Proven experience as a Deputy Nurse Manager or similar senior nursing role in a care home
- Experience working with older adults, including those with dementia
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Confident in clinical decision-making, managing teams, and supporting best practices
- Organised, approachable, and committed to high-quality care

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Home Manager in overseeing all aspects of care delivery and staff supervision
- Provide clinical leadership on shift, including medication management and hands-on support
- Ensure compliance with CQC standards and best practice guidelines
- Support and develop the nursing and care teams through supervision and mentoring
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to audits, care plans, and quality initiatives
- Act as a point of contact for residents, families, and external professionals
- Promote a positive, inclusive culture that prioritises dignity, independence, and wellbeing
