Summary


MFT is one of the biggest, most ambitious, and progressive NHS Trusts in the country. We are responsible for running a family of nine hospitals across six separate sites, providing a wide range of services from comprehensive local general hospital care through to highly specialised regional and national services.

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual, who is an excellent team player and able to demonstrate professionalism, excellent organisational and communication skills to join the pharmacy procurement team.You must be able to work accurately, quickly and under pressure, have a good eye for detail, be able to prioritise your workload to meet deadlines .





Main duties of the role include:

Creating and processing pharmacy medicine requests to external suppliers using the pharmacy stock control system and a third party electronic data exchange system.

Addressing medicine shortages and purchasing alternatives where appropriate with guidance and supervision of senior pharmacy procurement officers.

Responding to urgent medicine requests and communicating relevant information.

Dealing with telephone queries and actioning appropriately.
