Are you passionate about making a difference to a child's life?
We are looking to appoint a Learning and Therapeutic Partner to support children with social, emotional and mental health needs. You will be working in a small class under the supervision of a teacher and also on a one to one basis. A key part of the role will be to assist the teaching in creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supporting learning environment for all pupils, particularly helping to overcome multi barriers to learning social, emotional and behaviour difficulties and to support children with specific needs, for example, sensory and/or physical impairment, cognitive of learning difficulties, behavioural, emotional and social development needs, communication and interaction difficulties.
This is a Monday to Friday role with the following shift pattern: Monday 8.30am - 4.30pm; Tues - Thurs 8.30am - 3.30pm; Fri 8.30am - 3.00pm.
The ideal candidate will actively enjoy working with children, has empathy and is sympathetic to their needs. You will have knowledge of S.E.M.H. and be able to use appropriate programmes such as Team Teach (approved de-escalation and intervention technique).
