As a Specialist Support Professional for the Deaf, you'll provide vital, high-quality support to individuals, empowering them to live independently and achieve their goals. Your responsibilities will include:
Providing tailored support to Deaf individuals, recognizing their unique communication needs and preferences.
Assisting with daily living activities, personal care, and community engagement.
Supporting individuals in accessing education, employment, and social opportunities.
Facilitating effective communication using various methods, including British Sign Language (BSL).
Working collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure holistic support.
Maintaining accurate records and contributing to care/support plans.

What We're Looking For:
A nurturing attitude and genuine enthusiasm for supporting Deaf individuals.
Experience within a support setting, particularly with Deaf individuals (preferred, but comprehensive training is provided).
Strong communication skills, with proficiency in British Sign Language (BSL) being highly desirable, or a willingness to learn.
Friendly, professional, respectful, and reliable.
Willingness to travel.
Driving licence (desirable).
