Crynodeb
To assist the Consultant in the running of outpatient clinics. This will
include the examination of new patients, and review patients and to carry
out local anaesthetic surgical procedures under the direction of the
Consultant.
To carry out pre- and post- operative clerking and management of
inpatients and day case patients.
To attend operating sessions both in main theatres and the day case unit,
to assist and operate under supervision.
To see emergency patients referred by the Accident & Emergency
department and other departments within the hospital.
SHO/Trust Doctors move through the rota on a weekly changeover. This
rota allows for prospective cover for colleagues. Night duties (after
10pm) are not currently a part of this job.

We are pleased to offer a 12 month Fixed Term Junior Clinical Fellow role to enthusiastic clinicians with the appropriate experience and qualifications. This is an excellent opportunity to join our dynamic department at a time of expansion and development.
The postholder will work within the Royal Free's Maxillofacial service which provides a full range of services at three main sites across north London. This post is based in Barnet, Chase Farm & Edgware Hospitals.
You will be one of a team of nine junior doctors, providing a 1 in 9 first on-call service in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The appointee will take a full role in the educational and training programme offered within the department. The successful applicant will be fully GMC registered, and ideally will have experience in the specialty.
Please note - this post falls under the 2002 Hospital Medical and Dental staff terms and conditions, with the salary on the MN39 pay scale. It is a trust grade role, not a recognised training post.
