Personal Assistant - Morecambe
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Personal Assistant to provide support to a little boy with Autism and Down’s syndrome within the local community.
As a Personal Assistant your duties will include supporting with some personal care and activities out of the home inc: Walking on the beach, taking the dog for a walk with him, going out for something to eat.
Encouraging appropriate play and working within set routines. He also signs using Makaton.
We are looking for a caring, proactive and motivated individual with a passion for supporting others.
A positive attitude, sense of fun and good work ethic is also essential.
You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Also liking dogs is essential.
DBS is required or will be paid by the employer if successful.
Hours of work: 5 hours per week over term time – 1hr after school – Monday – Friday.
Additional 5hrs a week over the school holidays (10hrs in total).
Flexibility in the role is also required and hours can be discussed at interview.
Rate of pay: £12.21 per hour.
5.6 weeks paid annual leave per year pro rata and workplace pension scheme.
