Join a Practice That’s Redefining Veterinary Care
Are you a passionate Veterinary Surgeon looking for a fresh start? Want to be part of something new, exciting, and truly independent? I have just the opportunity for you.
A brand-new, purpose-built small animal practice in the thriving town of Basingstoke is looking for a dynamic and experienced vet to join the team. This isn’t just another job — it’s your chance to help shape a forward-thinking, client-first practice from the ground up.
About the Practice
Backed by an independent veterinary group that’s been rewriting the rulebook for over 15 years, this new branch brings cutting-edge facilities and a deeply personal approach to care — no corporate targets, no compromise on values. Just high-quality veterinary work in a supportive, collaborative environment where both staff and clients come first.
The practice is kitted out with everything you'd expect (and more):
• Digital radiography
• Advanced ultrasonography
• In-house Idexx lab systems
• Dedicated surgical suite
• Regular visits from top-tier orthopaedic and soft tissue referral surgeons
About the Role
My client is looking for a confident vet with 2+ years of experience who thrives in a dynamic environment. The role will include sole charge days, but you’ll never feel alone — the owner, an exceptional team of nurses, and a network of 25 surgeons and 100+ team members across the wider group are always within reach.
This is a team that genuinely supports one another. Whether it’s clinical advice, mentoring, or just someone to bounce ideas off, you’ll be part of a network that has your back.
This is a full-time role working a 4-day week and every other Saturday morning. Part-time hours also available and flexibility with hours available. There is no on call, no working Sundays, no working bank holidays with this role.
What’s in It for You?
• Generous salary £50,000 to £80,000 DOE and hours
• Up to six weeks leave in addition to the above
• Loyalty bonus scheme
• Staff recruitment reward scheme
• CPD encouraged with a generous budget
• RCVS and VDS fees paid
• Staff animals treated at cost
• 25-35% Pets Corner shop discount
