Summary

Graduate Teaching Assistant – Crewe Primary School

Start Date: September 2025

Are you a recent graduate with a 2:1 or above in any subject?

Do you have a passion for working with children and want to gain valuable classroom experience before beginning teacher training in 2026?

A warm and inclusive primary school in Crewe is seeking enthusiastic and driven graduates to join their team as Graduate Teaching Assistants starting in September 2025. This is a brilliant opportunity to gain hands-on school experience while making a genuine difference in the lives of young learners.

While degrees in Psychology, Education Studies, Health and Social Care (or similar fields) are particularly well suited, graduates from all academic disciplines are encouraged to apply.

What’s on offer:

  • Full-time, long-term role starting September 2025

  • Earn up to £520 per week

  • Valuable experience to strengthen future teacher training applications

  • Join a supportive Crewe primary school with good local transport links

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Supporting teachers with classroom activities, small group work, and one-to-one interventions

    • Helping pupils improve literacy, numeracy, and key social skills

    • Assisting with lesson planning and general classroom organisation

    • Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment

    • Learning from experienced educators and support staff

    • Gaining real insight into day-to-day life in a school setting

      We’re looking for:

      • Graduates with a 2:1 or higher in any subject

      • Especially interested in those with backgrounds in Psychology, Education Studies, Health and Social Care, or similar areas

      • A strong passion for supporting the development of primary-aged children

      • Great communication skills, a professional attitude, and lots of enthusiasm

      • Adaptable, patient, and proactive individuals

      • Experience working with children is a plus – but not essential

Important: You must have the right to work in the UK – visa sponsorship is not available.

This is a fantastic opportunity to build your confidence, develop your teaching skills, and play a meaningful role in shaping the future of young learners in Crewe.
