We are looking for a healthcare assistant to join our team on the Stroke Unit at The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The healthcare assistant / support worker will Provide patient centred, compassionate care at all times and advocate for the patient
The healthcare assistant / support worker is a member of the team that delivers clinical care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Tasks are delegated by the registered nurse.
The post holder is responsible for ensuring that patients are cared for in a safe environment and that privacy and dignity is maintained at all times.
The post holder will provide direct care and provide verbal and written reports.
To actively seek the views of patients / carers on their understanding of their care needs and develop a relationship to ensure the patients experience is positive.
The Healthcare Assistant is required to successfully complete all 15 standards within the Induction Care Certificate and associated workbook within the set timeframe of 4 weeks (maximum 12 weeks)
The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services.
